Based in New York, LoVid’s (Tali Hinkis and Kyle Lapidus)
video’s, live performances, homemade electronic devices and
toys scramle ordinary TV output into hyperkinetic audiovisual abstraction.
Kyle Lapidus will present a series of video works from their recently
released DVD - i. Recorded during a residency programme
at the Experimental TV center in upstate New York, the video’s
were made live using a combination of the centre’s historic
collection of custom built analog synths; and their own homemade
equipment. Kyle will also present an audiovisual performance manipulating
the video signal live onscreen.
This is the first event to take place in Lumen’s new office,
a small, intimate and friendly space which we hope to continually
use for unique one-off presentations such as this. Please note,
although this event is free, space is limited and pre-booking is
essential: email [email protected]
or call 0113 2469850.
