Super 8 rolls by Bruce McClure (1999)
13 February 2006 | Lumen, Monarch House, Queen Street, Leeds (directions) | 7.30-9pm | £2.50/3.50 tickets available online soon, space is limited to advance booking is recommended

New York based artist Bruce McClure returns to Leeds for a screening of his Super 8 films. "Projectors are gregarious and have voracious appetites clawing and gnawing at hundreds of feet of film for the benefit of those who love to bask in the light of screen time. Super 8 projectors have the unique advantage of allowing us to mince through time at speeds beyond the interest or capabilities of larger gauged machines. This program maximizes the experience of film by examining super 8 camera rolls at three frames per second. The content of the films subjected to this procedure is of indirect importance compared to the weight of time and shade experienced in the rhythm of super 8." (Bruce McClure)
