Peter Cusack has been commissioned to create a new, public sound installation to run during the commuter periods in Millennium Square, central Leeds.  Cusack will engage the audience with his prepared field recordings, teasing the senses of passers-by, and providing an alternate sonic backdrop for users of this urban space.

Swannsong is a sound-based installation, developed for the Borough Courtroom in Leeds Town Hall. The project takes its inspiration from the case of Emily Swann (who in 1903 was controversially sentenced to death in the Town Hall for the murder of her husband), with the piece exploring the concept of a time-based judicial system.
