Michaela Grill has produced a wide range of work, both as a solo artist, and through an impressive array of collaborative projects. Monroc is one such collaboration, with the soundtrack by Martin Siewert casting acoustic shadows where Grill’s abstract studies build on musical parameters, such as rhythm, timbre and tone.

A recurring image throughout the video is an abandoned factory in Idaho Falls (the Monroc Facility), taken from ‘Lost Destinations’ – a website dedicated to “Abandoned, unusual, wild and weird road trip photography”.
