Lumen has commissioned artists and film-makers in the region to create a new series of visually stunning short films, using the organisation's brand new HD equipment. There was no set theme, in order to encourage contributions from all creative disciplines.
The project encouraged artists to focus on considered shot composition, moving the emphasis of creating new work away from a growing reliance on post-production techniques. In order to achieve this, each film is a single, locked-off shot, with a running time of between 2 and 3 minutes.
